The problem
Retaining walls hold back tons of soil and water. In our high-water-table region, hydrostatic pressure builds behind them and they begin to lean, bow or crack. We restore structural integrity and add the drainage that prevents it from happening again.
Warning signs to watch for
- A wall that leans, tilts or bows outward
- Cracking, separating or crumbling block and mortar
- Soil washing out or settling behind the wall
- Standing water or poor drainage at the base
- Fence posts or steps shifting near the wall
Our repair method
We relieve pressure, reset alignment, and install helical tieback anchors that pull the wall back and hold it. We then correct the drainage with proper gravel backfill and weep systems so water no longer loads the wall.
Why it matters
A failing retaining wall can collapse without much warning, taking landscaping, driveways and safety with it. Early stabilization is dramatically cheaper than a full rebuild.
